Dr. Donald Fox is an award winning orthodontist and member of our dental team. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Fox is a noted expert in the orthodontic field, having successfully treated over 15,000 patients. He graduated from the University of Richmond, where he studied how visible light could be used to repair damaged bacterial DNA. Dr. Fox took his passion for research to dental school where he graduated #1 in his class of 115 students. In 1987, Dr. Fox conducted the earliest research on permanent retainers and the innovative blue light cured glues that have become a dental industry standard. He also won the highest award, the Harry Sicher Award, given by the American Association of Orthodontists for his research into birth defects from mothers consuming Tylenol.
As a strong believer in early preventative orthodontic care through surgical and non-surgical means, Dr. Fox has developed his own unique thumb-sucking cessation treatment plan for children and adults. Approximately 10 percent of Americans between age 2 and 30, about 2.4 million children, suck their thumbs. His soon to be released book is concentrated on how to stop thumb sucking.
Since entering private practice, Dr. Fox has written over 480 articles related to training staff in dentistry as well as producing more than 120 educational videos, all of which have helped thousands of people. The first visit for your child should be age 6 since Dr. Fox is an expert in early treatment!
Adults also enjoy Dr. Fox’s expertise in Invisalign, which he has over 18 years of success with thousands of patients.
